The Law of Conscious Detachment

When You Accept What Is, You Accept The Unalterable Realities In Your Life Without Resisting Them. The ability to live in the enjoyable aspects of life, but to allow experiences that are not enjoyable to flow through you without resistance and without affecting your state of being. This concept is less about letting go and more about trusting and believing, however, outward or hidden attachments to anything, including self, creates karma. Some things are facts - they are what they are. They exist, and no matter how much you resist them, there is nothing that can be done about them. But we can do something about ourselves, and most of us look to resist or ignore it when pain or suffering comes to us, and in doing so cause ourselves more pain and suffering overall. When we attach to any particular outcome, we can drive it away with the power of our need. It may be helpful to consciously apply lessons from the law of resistance with the wisdom to accept unalterable situations as they are, in a detached manner. It is not worth wasting energy on any level attempting to change what cannot and should not be changed. When you are attached to any person, situation, outcome, etc. you are practicing conditional love. When you are in a state of acceptance and non-conditional love (or true unconditional love), you are detached.
