Do Reiki healers use their own energy to heal the patient?
A healer is a channel through which Source energy flows. This energy is called God, or Allah, or the Universe, or the Creator, or as some call It ”The Source”, or whatever you choose to call It. Once attuned, healers become capable of channeling Reiki energy.
Reiki allows energy to flow in a natural way by clearing energy pathways.

Does Reiki only work if you believe in it?
Reiki will work regardless of whether you believe in it or not, as long as you do not intentionally block it by resisting the flow or refusing treatment.
Reiki is not placebo, it is real healing energy flowing through our bodies, as many practitioners and clients have experienced.

Do science and Reiki play well together?
Back in the 1990s, two scientists (Dr. John Zimmerman and Dr. Robert Becker) did an independent research on Reiki and its treatment. The basic purpose of their experiment was to investigate changes that take place within one's body while undergoing a Reiki treatment. They came to some interesting conclusions.

They noticed that when the practitioner and the client go into an alpha state (the state of meditation and relaxation), the brain waves of both practitioner and client synchronize.

Both practitioner and client pulse in union with the Earth's magnetic field while in the alpha state. Another name for this field is the Schuman Resonance.

During a Reiki treatment, the bio magnetic field of practitioner’s hands that are being used to transfer energy to the client are often enhanced by 1,000 times, as compared to the normal range.
Science now proves that different ranges of frequencies can be focused at various organs and components within the body to initiate the healing process.

Do watches, jewelry, or other metal objects block the flow of Reiki?
Some practitioners feel that both Reiki healers and patients should refrain from wearing metal objects such as jewelry because they feel it blocks the flow of energy. However, it is proven that Reiki has been experienced to “pass through" not only metal objects placed close to the body, but also through walls, through mountains, across oceans, even across the entire planet! There is no right or wrong, just different preferences for different practitioners.

Are Reiki distance healings effective?
Using the Reiki sacred healing symbols to enhance the flow of Universal life force energy, there are no limitation due to time and space. Whether you heal past or future wounds, or a client on the other side of the planet; Reiki energy is very intuitive and will heal what is in the highest and best good of the client.
